championships links course that overlooks Carmarthen Bay.

VISITOR POLICY: Visiting player start times are restricted
on competition days and a certificate of handicap is also

FACILITIES: Included are the pro shop, equipment hire,
a practice area and changing rooms. The clubhouse bar is 
open from 12 noon to 11pm daily and the restaurant serves
lunch and dinner. The clubhouse has a pool table.

BORTH AND YNYSLAS GOLF CLUB

THE COURSE: Borth and Ynyslas is the oldest golf club in
Wales. The 18 hole links 6116 yard, par 70 course overlooks
Cardigan Bay and provides very testing windy conditions.

FEES: per weekday £12, per weekend day £15, 5 days £45

VISITOR POLICY: Visiting players must be members of a 
recognised golf club and demonstrate basic knowledge
of the game. Handicap certificates are not required.

FACILITIES: Include a pro shop, practice area, change rooms,
and equipment hire. The clubhouse bar is open daily and the
restaurant serves food. Opening times for the clubhouse vary
visitors should contact the clubhouse for information.

The Peterstone Club and Leisure Complex offers two links
type courses, an 18 hole and a 9 hole. The complex also 
offers the golfer a 40-bay driving range, an indoor golf 
range, floodlit greens and video lessons. Other leisure 
facilities include fishing and a gymnasium. 

THE PETERSTONE COURSE: 18 hole, par 71, 6481 yards
FEES: per weekday £16, per weekend day £25

THE SCRIVENS COURSE:  9 hole, par 36, 3081 yards
FEES: per weekday £5, per weekend day £7.50

VISITOR POLICIES: There are no restrictions on visiting 
players other than the need to be smartly casual in dress.
Visiting players must possess a handicap certificate to play 
the PETERSTONE Course a maximum of 28 for men and no stated
maximum for women.

FACILITIES: The resident professional can be contacted at
the club for details of tuition fees and information on the 
club facilities including the pro shop, equipment hire,
practice area, and changing rooms.
The clubhouse bar is open daily between 11am to 1pm. The

advance and must have a handicap certificate with a maximum 
of 28 for men.

FACILITIES: include the pro shop, equipment hire, practice 
area and changing rooms. The clubhouse bar is open daily from 
8 am and the restaurant only serves lunch from noon to 2pm
Dinner can be organized by prior booking.

does not offer equipment hire.

COURSE: the St Pierre complex has two 18 hole courses,
the championship Old Course is an 18 hole parkland , par 71 
yds 6748, and the Mathern Course, a meadowland par 68, yds
5713 course.

FEES: Old Course - Weekday-round £35, Weekend £45
      Mathern Course - Weekday-round £20, Weekend £25

VISITING POLICY: There are no restrictions for visiting
players other than the need to obtain start time. Visitors
staying at the hotel and visiting societies can book start 
times with their reservations; all other visitors should 
book 7 days in advance, subject to availabilty.
A Certificate of Handicap is required by all visiting
players, a maximum 28 for men and 36 for women.

FACILITIES: In addition to the pro shop, changing rooms,
and equipment hire, all catering facilities of the hotel
are opened to visitors. A smart casual dress code is 
required in all bars and restaurants. The Park Cavery
at the 18th green of the Mathern Course serves lunch
and dinner reservations are strongly recommended.
The Gun Room and The Poolside Grill serve light meals
daily. The St Pierre Hotel is a 3-star, 150 bedroom hotel.
The leisure complex includes an indoor pool, sauna, solarium
jacuzzi, and facilities for squash, badminton, tennis, 
snooker and la croquet lawn.

COURSE: Newport Club has an 18 hole, par 72, 6431 yard
parkland course at the foot of the Welsh Valleys. It
welcomes visitors with few restrictions.

FEES: per weekday £49, per weekend day £50

VISTOR POLICY: Tuesday is Ladies Day; visitors should 
phone ahead to check on any temporary restrictions.
A Certificate of Handicap is required by all visitors
although there is no stated maximum.

FACILITIES: Pro shop, changing rooms, equipment hire, and 
the clubhouse bar is open from 11:30 am to 2pm and 4pm 
to 10:30 pm daily. The dining room serves lunch until 2pm
Tea and dinner is available from 5:30 to 9:30 pm.
Light snacks are available every day between 8:30 am to
8:30pm.

LLANWERN GOLF CLUB

COURSES: Llanwern Golf Club is the biggest club in Wales
it has two parkland courses, an 18 hole and a 9 hole, and
welcomes visitors without restriction.
The New Course has 18 holes, par 70, 6115 yards and the
Old Course is a 9 hole, par 67, with 5237 yards (2 rounds)

FEES: per weekday - Old Course £15, New Course £20
per weekend day - Old Course £15, New Course £25

VISITOR POLICY: No restrictions on visiting players other 
than the need to dress smart casual. Although there is no
stated maximum, visitors must possess a handicap certificate

course is set in a private hilly wooded estate. The course
features streams, lakes and views of the surrounding hills.

FEES: Weekdays £25, weekend days £30

VISITOR POLICY: Visiting players cannot start before 9:30am
on Sundays. There is no certificate of handicap required and
no other visitor restrictions.

FACILITIES: The Pro, pro-shop, equipment hire, practice net,
and changing rooms are available to visitors. The clubhouse
has a bar open from 11am to 11pm and a restaurant that will
serve breakfast, lunch, and dinners.

VISITOR POLICY: Visitors are welcome every day of the week 
but start time restrictions apply. A Certificate of Handicap

about all other facilities which include a Pro-shop, change
rooms, and equipment hire. The bar in the main lounge of
the Clubhouse and the dining room are both open from 11am
