Aalborg's golf club was opened in 1908.It offers an 18 hole
par 70, parkland course with spacious fairways but many
hazards throughout its 5711m's. The two finishing holes are
challenging. At the short 17th, you play over a lake to a
tree encircled green, and at the dog-leg 18th a stream runs
alongside and flows into a lake that fronts the green.
Visitors are welcome but are required to book in advance on
weekends. The club has a bar and restaurant.

This well established and interesting course was built in
1931 and presents a real challenge to the golfer.The 18 hole
par 71, is 5796 m and has elevated tees,tree-lined fairways
water hazards and very tricky two-tiered greens. Visitors
are welcome to play Aarhus fees run DKr 180 - 220. The club
also has a bar, restaurant and a practice area.

The Danish island of Bornholm is sited about 175 kilometers
east of Copenhagen in the Baltic Sea. The club is located on
the west side of the island, east of Ronne. Visitors are
welcome to play this 18 hole par 68, 4789m course without
restrictions. The club facilities include a bar, restaurant,

EBELTOFT GOLFKLUB

Ebeltoft opened in 1966 with an extremely short 18 hole
par 68 course. Although it is only 4925m, the bunkers,tight
dog-leg holes, various hazards, and tricky greens make the
course an interesting but tough challenge. Practice grounds

ESBJERG GOLFKLUB

This 18 hole par 70 is one of the best Danish courses and
has hosted many professional tournaments. The club opened
in 1921, on what is now the Maerbaek Pine Plantation with
the 5728m long course being reminiscent of many of the
Scottish heathland types. Visitors are welcome. Facilities
include a bar, restaurant and driving range.

Not a very long course at 5705m, it has narrow fairways
lined with trees and calls for accurate shots and good
touch on the greens. The 18 hole par 71 course welcomes
visitors to enjoy the golf and the fine views of the sea.
North west of Helsingor off the coast road towards Alsgarde,
this interesting part of Denmark with its castles was the
setting for Shakespeare's Hamlet.

Surrounded by woods and lakes of a nature reserve, the club
as with others in the West Jutland area, have become very
popular holiday golfing facilities. Himmerlands offers two
18 hole courses. The Old Course built in 1981 is an 18 hole
par 69 at 5220m and the New Course built in 1990 is an 18
hole par 73 at 6050m. The Club also has a driving range, a
par 3 course, bar and restaurant. Fees range DKr170 to 200.

Acclaimed as the leading golf course in Denmark, Holstebro
provides many of the visiting British golfers an 18 hole
par 72 at 6002m heathland type course. Although the well
manicured fairways are generous, wayward hits can provide
trouble because of the secluded rows of fir trees and the
scattered heather. Most of the greens are protected by
well positioned bunkers. An easier 9-hole layout, a driving
range, and a restaurant are also provided at the club.

The original course was built as an 8 hole in a parkland
setting back in 1898, and is Denmarks oldest golf course.
By 1900, the course was moved to Klampenborg Deer Park and
exists today as an 18 hole, par 71 within 5898m of parkland
setting with magnificient old trees, excellent turf, and
from time to time deer graze on or near the fairways.
The club welcomes visitors except on tuesdays. Fees range
from DKr150 to 200. The club also has a bar and restaurant
and a practice ground.

Rungsted is located just north of Copenhagen near the sound
that separates Denmark and Sweden. Because of location and
design the course has hosted many important tournaments.
In fact, the first Scandinavian International Amateur
Championships were held at Rungsted in 1956.
The course is an 18 hole par 72, 5900m parkland course.
It has narrow fairways that meander through rows of beech
trees. Many streams add to the natural dangers and hazards.
Visitors are welcome but only in the afternoons on the
weekends. Fees start at DKr300.
VEJLE GOLFKLUB

Located in the Munkebjerg Forest, the original course built
in 1972 was an 18 hole par 73 at 6277m. The club recently
added an additional 9 holes. The fairways are reasonably
generous but excellent bunkering and water hazards provide
some challenge. Facilities at Vejle include a bar and
restaurant, a driving range, a par 3 course and the new
9-hole course. Because of its popularity, visitors need to
book in advance. Fees start at DKr200.
NORWAY

Built in 1937, the course is sited 10km north of Bergen and
provides a testing 9 hole par 33 course. Golfers are required
to negotiate the hilly 2230m terrain with streams, valleys,
ravines, and very tight greens. Surrounded by mountains the
club also has a bar, restaurant and driving range at the
facility.
BORRE GOLF CLUB

The club is located southwest of Oslo between Borre and
Horten. Built in 1989 by Swedish architect Tommy Nordstrom
the 18 hole par 73, 5779m course on undulating farmland,has
rolling terrain, trees, and many water hazards. The course
is closed between December and March but welcomes visitors
all other times. Fees start at NKr200.
OSLO GOLFCLUB

This is the oldest golf course in Norway. Built in 1924 on
undulating parkland, the 18 hole par 72, 6000m course has
Lake Bogstad on two sides which adds to the charm of the
layout. The club has a bar, restaurant and practice ground
facilities and welcomes visitors. Visitors are restricted
to after 2pm play on weekends. Fees range from NKr250-300

TRONDHEIM GOLFCLUB

This fascinating course is a 9-hole par 36 at 2766m.,
built in 1950. Golfers can view dazzling sights across
Norways old capital and out to the Trondheim fjord.
Different tees are used to play a second nine hole round
The holes wind through forest, alongside hills and by water.

The Midnight Cup is played at Trondheim every year at
midnight on midsummer's day.

Many championships have been played on the Older 18 hole
par 71, 5616m course that was founded in 1929 by A. Nobel
and designed by J.H. Taylor. The generous fairways have lush
turf but the greens have some difficult slopes and tiers
and are protected by many bunkers. One feature of the course
is an old windmill alongside the first tee. The New 18 hole
par 73, 5845m course is never as busy as the original Old
course. Visitors are welcome. Fees start at SKr250.
BJORKLIDEN ARCTIC GOLFKLUBB

In 1989, this club opened the 9 hole par 35, 2480m course
and became the northern most golf facility in the world.
About 150 miles north of the Arctic circle, during the
short June to September golf season, one can play all
day or all night being that it is light for twenty-four
hours per day. The fairways are narrow, the greens are
small, and the tundra very tough. Fees are SKr100

This club is located on an island in Lake Malaren, west of
Stockholm and close to the summer palace of Swedens royal
family. The 18 hole par 72 course runs through well-wooded
parkland for most of its 5825m length. Visitors are welcome
but must book in advance. The course is closed between
November and April. Average fees are SKr250.
FALKENBERG GOLF CLUB

The design has the variation offered by three loops of nine
holes and these courses are rated the best in Sweden. The
key is in variety since the fairways thread through forest,
some open parkland with water hazards and well situated
bunkers. The par 4s are notably difficult.
The course has 27 holes; 3 x 9 par 35/36 2856/2919/2978m
The courses are closed between December and February but
welcomes visitors during the season. Fees range from SKr120
to SKr220. A bar, restaurant and practice ground are also
available.
GOTEBORGS GOLFKLUBB

This is Sweden's senior golf club and from 1902 to 1938 was
the venue for most of the Swedish championships. Although
this 18 hole par 70 course is too short for most modern
tournament play, at 5460m it is an excellent test over hilly
ground and is one of the best-supported clubs in Sweden.
Visitors are welcome but must book in advance. The course is
closed for winter December to March. Fees range from SKr200
to SKr250.

Water is the main enemy on this 18 hole par 72, 5748m
course. Nerve and good technique are needed here.
The course is closed December to May but welcomes visitors
during the season. Hooks has a bar, restaurant; practice
ground; 9-hole pitch and putt; swimming pool; and tennis
among its facilities. Green fees start at SKr170.
LINDINGO GOLFKLUBB

One of the senior clubs in Sweden, built in 1927, Lindingo
near the centre of Stockholm. The 18 hole par 71, 5632m
course offers a fair challenge with tree lined fairways
and excellent bunkering at the fairway angles of dog-leg
holes. There are also many water hazards along the course.
Course is closed for winter November to April. Visitors
are welcome before 3pm weekdays and after 1pm weekends.
There is a bar, restaurant, practice ground, and a short
course. Green fees start at SKr250.
OIJARED GOLF CLUB

One of Sweden's biggest golf centre facilities, Oijared
has two full size courses and a short course. The older 18
hole par 71 is 5655m and runs through woodland with several
water hazards. The newer 18 hole par 72 at 5870m is laid out
on more open groujnd and has a lake which comes into play at
the ninth hole.
In addition to a bar, restaurant and practice ground, the
facility has a 9 hole pitch and putt course.
Visitors are welcome any time during the week and before
three pm on weekends. Fees range from SKr160 to Skr 200.
