The new CG1 irons take traditional blades to a new feel and performance
level. Made from Cleveland Golf's new patent pending CMM (Carbon Metal
Matrix), CG1 irons offer a softer and more responsive feel. Designed with
the better player in mind, CG1 irons have a slightly larger muscle in
order to
move the center of gravity lower and deeper which promotes a higher ball
flight, especially in the long irons. CG1 irons come in a mirror chrome
finish
and they are offered in True Temper Dynamic Gold taper tip shafts.

CG1 >>THE METAL
The mission was clear. Develop a material that damps vibration
in an unprecedented fashion and can be readily manipulated and engineered
for performance. The answer: Carbon Metal Matrix (CMM). This new
material, while not a composite, is infused with 17 times more carbon
than traditional 8620 and 1020 carbon steels. Using a process unique
to CMM, the carbon is infused into microscopic spheres suspended
within the molecular structure - creating a matrix that is 10% less
dense and 15% softer than traditional carbon steel. These density
relieving spheres within CMM dramatically damp vibration, offering
a pure, soft feel never before achieved in any golf club. Measuring
77 on the Rockwell B hardness scale, CMM is the softest feeling
material ever used in a golf club head. Needless to say, Cleveland
Golf has a patent pending for the exclusive use of this breakthrough
material.
