How does Bag/Alert work?
A hand-held, push button remote transceiver device can arm or disarm
the Bag/Alert unit. The unit itself will chirp when it is armed
or disarmed. If the golf bag is moved when still armed, an alarm
will sound that will draw attention to the golf bag; the thief will
hopefully drop the bag and promptly leave the area.
The alarm will sound for approximately twenty seconds, after which
time the unit will quiet and reset itself in the armed mode.
Why was Bag/Alert invented?
In the last few years, there has been an increasing need for our
product. As never before in the history of golf, equipment is being
stolen. Golfers must leave their golfing equipment unattended while
checking into the pro shop or while stopping for refreshments after
a round of golf. During these situations, their golf equipment and
possessions (which could also include wallet, watch, car keys, rings,
etc., stored in the golf bag) is left to the mercy of thieves.
